The HCID Open Day is a free mini conference run by the Centre for Human Computer Interaction Design (HCID) and Centre for Creativity in Professional Practice, at City University London.

During the HCID Open Day we invite in guest speakers from Industry and Academia to talk about UX / HCI / Interaction Design and related fields. This years theme is ‘Design at Work’ so we have talks around best practice within design professions, designing products aimed at business environments and advice on how researchers / designers can play along nicely. Although we have included other interesting topics as well.

This year’s event will be taking place on Thursday 30th April 2015 between 12:30pm and 5:30pm – followed by keynotes and an after party (separate ticket required). The day is made up of concurrent talks / workshops with keynotes in the evening. We will also be offering tours of City Interaction Lab at certain points throughout the day (separate ticket required).
